Le Fontanelle is located in the spectacular countryside of the Orcia valley, which has been renowned since the end of the first millennium as an important stage on the Via Francigena, the great medieval pilgrimage road from France to Rome. Le Fontanelle was peasants’ house in ruins when it was discovered by the Gonzi family, its current owners. Ideal for a luxury holiday combined with great hospitality and gastronomy. They have renovated other farmhouses, so the same attention to detail and all the lessons learned from previous renovations have been used in this last restoration, finished in 2003: original stone and bricks, terracotta flooring, antiques and Tuscan wooden furniture.
